Former Big Brother Naija star Deeone has declared that media personality Nedu is innocent of the accusations against him by activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan.
His comment comes after Nedu’s exit from the Honest Bunch Podcast following the feud with VeryDarkMan. The drama began when Deeone appeared on Nedu’s podcast as a guest and alleged that the activist was gay.
Displeased by this, VeryDarkMan accused Nedu of orchestrating the claims and attempting to tarnish his reputation after he refused the invitation to be a guest on the podcast.
As a result of the backlash, Nedu announced his departure from the Honest Bunch Podcast, stating that he was often made the scapegoat for discussions on the show.
In response to Nedu’s resignation, Deeone took to social media to defend Nedu, insisting Nedu had no influence over his statements and pleaded with Nigerians to stand up for the renowned OAP.
He mentioned that Nedu was going through a lot as a result of VeryDarkMan's accusations.
In his words:
“Nedu is going through a lot, he did not tell me to post anything. That man is innocent, I swear with everything in this life. This is not content; this is real! VDM lied and manipulated everything. Don’t let this guy die.
“Inspector General of Police, please call us all to your office; I said everything I said, nobody told me to say. All of you should come out and support Nedu. This is not a matter of whether you like me or not. VDM lied against Nedu; he’s trying to frustrate him to kill himself.”
