Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, better known by her stage name Tems, has revealed that she and her mother share a special bond.
The Mr. Rebel singer disclosed that she and her mother share everything.
Tems revealed this in an interview with ET conducted on the sidelines of Sunday's 67th annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.
She said, “What I have is hers [my mother’s]. We share everything I have."
Tems expressed her gratitude to God for her Grammy victory. She noted that to her, it was a blessing, and she was really fortunate and favored.
She said: “I’m grateful to God. I’m thankful. I think it’s a blessing. I’m extremely blessed and favored. I just want to give that out in any way that I can.”
According to reports Tems' "Love Me Jeje" took home the Grammy for Best African Music Performance on Sunday, February 2.
She dedicated the award to her mother when she accepted it on stage.
The singer has previously said that her mother raised her and her brother alone.
