Legendary Nigerian musician, 2Baba Idibia, has expressed displeasure at the rumours and speculations about his life being circulated by bloggers and the media.

In a video shared on social media, 2Baba clarified his relationship with Natasha Osawaru, the Edo State lawmaker whom he has been seen with on several occasions.

Recently, 2Baba was spotted in the gallery of the Edo State House of Assembly, with fans trooping to catch a glimpse of the super star.

Addressing the rumours about his relationship with the lawmaker, the ‘African Queen’ singer pointed out that he is in love with her and wants to marry her. He also stated that Annie is alright and they understand each other.

He warned Nigerians to desist from berating the lawmaker, as she has nothing to do with his decision to end his marriage to his wife, Annie. 2Baba described Osawaru as an intelligent and loving person.

2Baba raised concerns over the use of the word ‘allege’ being used by people to spread rumours about a person without being penalized.

The word “allege” means to state something as a fact without providing concrete proof, often used in situations where you want to avoid definitively claiming something is true until further evidence is available.

“Honourable Natasha has been dragged, called all sorts of names and has been labelled as a home breaker. She is a young, brilliant and amazing woman.

“She has nothing to do with what’s happening between me and Annie. But everybody trying to allegedly want to rope her into everything. Yes, I love her. I want to marry her,” he said.
