Seasoned Nollywood actor Patrick Doyle has responded to Grammy Award winner Tems winning the Best Gospel Award at the BET Awards.

The singer received the Dr. Bobby Jones Best Gospel/Inspirational Award for her contribution to Drake's "Me & U" at the BET Awards on Monday night, July 1. The event took place at the Peacock Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles, California.

Her 2023 song triumphed over well-known artists such as Kirk Franklin, CeCe Winans, Maverick City Music, and others to claim the prize.

In a Facebook post, Patrick Doyle stated that Christians who feel deceived by Tems' victory should stop seeking validation from unstable groups like the entertainment industry mafia.

The Nollywood actor emphasized that Satan is in control of the entertainment sector.

He wrote, “I feel the pain of mainstream gospel artistes who feel slighted that Tems an evidently secular musician was awarded the BET award for best gospel song. That said I believe it’s about time that committed christians stop seeking validation from fickle institutions like the entertainment industry mafia which by the way is in the grip of satan.”
