Media personality Gbemi Olateru Olagbegi, often known as Gbemi OO has questioned why the daughters of prominent Nigerian pastors Paul Enenche and David Oyedepo continue to use their fathers' names after marriage.
The former presenter wrote in a lighthearted Instagram post that she was curious about whether or not just people with less money are supposed to follow their husbands' names.
Gbemi noted in her pidgin post that Deborah Eneche and Love Oyedepo had included the names of their husbands, Ogah and Hawthorn.
Sir Olateru-Olagbegi II KBE, the granddaughter of the late Olowo of Owo, questioned if a woman in the similar circumstance would face criticism for being "disobedient" or "not obedient to her husband."
She posted, “I wan find small trouble Love Oyedepo became – Love Oyedepo Ogah (added her husband’s name) Deborah Eneche became – Deborah Eneche Hawthorn (added her husband’s name). But if another pesin do am, e go turn ‘she’s not s*bmissive’. Abii na only poor people suppose dey s*bmissive’?

@ify_oloye When the Bible says women be s*bmissive’ to your husband, did God say poor woman
