Renowned gospel singer, Osinachi Kalu-Egbu, aka Sinach, was recently celebrated in grand style by her husband, Joseph Egbu, friends and family.

To mark her 53rd birthday, the singer’s husband pulled off a heartwarming surprise birthday party in her honour at the Monarch Event Centre, Lekki, Lagos State.

It was a night of heartfelt tributes, powerful worship, and tear-jerking surprises as family, colleagues, and friends came from all over the world to celebrate the singer.

Sinach, dressed in a black ball gown was visibly moved, and confessed she was completely unaware of the magnitude of the event.

Speaking at the event, her husband stated, “She had no idea. She’s someone who doesn’t like too much attention, but how do you not celebrate someone who has impacted the world quietly yet profoundly?”

Representing the family, one of her husband’s brothers, James Egbu, called her “an extraordinary woman” and praised her humility, noting she wasn’t just celebrated for her music, but her spirit and character.

Some of the popular gospel singers at the party include Blessed Uzochikwa, Nathaniel Bassey, Buchi Atuonwu, Obiora Nwokolobia-Agu, and Victor Thompson.

Other personalities and men of God who celebrated with the singer are the daughter of Zimbabwe’s President, Chidi Munanagwa, and her husband, Bright Ekeleme.

Gospel music heavyweights— Ron Kenoly, Da’dra Grathou, Daniel Washington, Evans Glover and Flourish Peters— also sent in goodwill messages.

Port Harcourt-based comedian, Daniel Nnwoka, aka Dan’D Humorous; and Steve Onu (Yaw), anchored the event, while singers— Ayo Vincent, Noble G, and the God’s Generation Choir delivered captivating renditions.
