Afrobeats singer Davido was trolled on the microblogging app X for misspelling "Happy Mother's Day."

On Sunday, May 12, 2024, Mother's Day was celebrated worldwide. Mother's Day typically falls on the second Sunday in May.

Social media users, socialites, and celebrities took to their social media platforms to honour their moms, grandmothers, spouses, and all mother figures in their lives.

Singer Davido was among the many who celebrated the occasion on their respective accounts.

He wrote: “Hapoy Mother’s Day !” instead of writing “Happy Mother’s Day.”

Many people had different opinions about Davido's mistake. Some viewed it as a typo, while others criticized him.

An X user while mocking Davido wrote; “English you no sabi, Music zéro, omo watin you really good at? I for correct that your rubbísh English but you get money pass me.”
