Davido, also known as OBO, has been sharing intriguing details about his life in a recent interview with The Breakfast Club. The Nigerian superstar opened up about a shocking blackmail attempt by a long-time friend, recounting how the situation unfolded.

According to Davido, during a casual conversation with friends, they were gossiping about a fellow celebrity when he soon received a clip of his comments from one of his close friends. The friend then gave Davido an ultimatum: pay $40,000 or the video would be released to the public. In response, Davido reached out to his sister, who in turn contacted the friend’s sister, leading to their mother being involved. Three years later, the friend apologized for his actions.

Speaking about the demand for money, Davido laughed, emphasizing that his crew could easily make that amount during their worst weeks. He shared the story with a lighthearted tone as he continued the interview.

In addition to discussing the blackmail incident, Davido also addressed his relationship with fellow artist Tiwa Savage. He revealed that the two once lived together and maintained a sibling-like bond based on mutual respect. Reflecting on past disagreements, he described them as typical family squabbles and clarified that there was no significant conflict between them.

When asked about Tiwa’s recent police petition against him, Davido assured that their relationship remained strong, despite the legal challenge.
