Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw's Father's Day message during the commemoration of Father's Day has prompted a response from media personality Daddy Freeze.

The actress's Father's Day message sparked criticism a few minutes after she shared it on social media. The exercise enthusiast read a verse from the Bible and acknowledged fathers as role models for their children. She asked God to give fathers courage, favour, and blessings.

Many people took issue with her statement, pointing out the hypocrisy of wishing Happy Mother's Day to all mothers while only honouring responsible fathers.

Following this, Kate Henshaw took the time to address her detractors.

On-air personality Daddy Freeze weighed in and agreed that being a responsible father is a must. However, he also pointed out that there are decent men who are unable to be responsible due to health, financial, or other reasons.

He also mentioned how some women are the reason a man cannot be a suitable father, saying that such men are incapable of being responsible if they are ruined financially, emotionally, and psychologically.

He wrote: “Kate is right; as a father you need to be responsible. However, there are good men out there who can’t afford to be responsible for financial, health or other reasons, so it’s not their fault. Many women are also the reason why some men are irresponsible. If you destroy a man psychologically, emotionally and financially, you can’t expect magic can you?? The scriptures quoted also cut both ways”.
