Afrobeats singer Divine Ikubor, widely known as Rema went viral after a video of him during a Thanksgiving service in his church, Christ Embassy surfaced.
The afrobeats singer was seen in the video thanking God and expressing gratitude for the church's assistance to his family during their difficult period.
Rema donated money to the adolescent church, the church's infrastructure department, and widows' funds as well.
The celebrated vocalist also related how, when he was eight years old, his father passed away and everything was taken from him. Mother was able to provide for them and train them in school thanks to the church's opening of a shop for her.
Popular media personality Daddy Freeze weighed in on Rema's donation to the church.
Speaking, the on-air personality stated that Rema did not give to the church, rather he gave back to the church for the seed it sowed in his family's life.
According to Daddy Freeze, Rema should have given more than what he gave to the church. He also thanked the man of God who had helped Rema's family during those trying times.
He said, "NO, Rema did not GIVE to the Church; He gave BACK to the Church. When his family was going through a rough patch, the church was there for them financially. He is now returning the favor. There is a huge difference.
Why did he give to that particular church? Because when he LO$T his dad, the church opened a shop for his mum. That was part of what helped his folks put food on the table during a difficult period.
So unlike you going to sow your seed in church, Rema is taking part of his ‘Harvest’ to those who sowed their seed in him.
As far as I’m concerned he should even give them more. God bless the pastor that sowed into his family.”
