Grammy Award winner, Burna Boy has stuck his neck out for South African rapper, Nasty C, disclosing in a recent interview that he will pick him over a number rappers based in the U.S.

"Yeah, everything is not afrobeats. Nasty C is a rapper. And because he's from Africa now, you're going to say afrobeats? Nah, he's a rapper. Brah, I'll put my money on Nasty C over almost any American rapper," he said.

He also tried to clarity the notion that everything from Africa is Afrobeats.

His interviewer also agrees that Africa is more than Afrobeats.
