'Big hypocrisy' - Eedris Abdulkareem drags Pastor Adeboye for not protesting against Tinubu

Legendary Nigerian singer Eedris Abdulkareem has called out the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor E.A. Adeboye over the country's continued economic suffering.

The rapper and hip-hop artist made fun of the cleric in a widely shared video clip that has emerged on social media.

In the video, Eedris Abdulkareem reportedly challenged Pastor Adeboye to criticize President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration for the state of the country, just as he had done with the previous one.

Eedris Abdulkareem recounted how, in protest of the status of the country at the time, Pastor Adeboye organized a one million match during the administration of Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.

In his lyrics, the artist emphasized the need to speak truth to power and called Adeboye's purported silence "hypocrisy."

He said: “Our Daddy, Pastor Adeboye, during Goodluck Jonathan, your voice was so loud. You even vow to stage a one million match. Hunger and hardship under Tinubu government you ‘say’ Nigeria get spiritual problem. Baba we need your one million disciples to protest against President Tinubu govt just the way you protest against President Jonathan.

“Daddy abi leg don dey pain your disciples? Dis na very big hypocricy. It is time for you to speak to truth to power because hunger wan kill Nigerians,” Abdulkareem mentioned in the video clip.
