Former Presidential aide, Reno Omokri has given his opinion on arranged marriage.

According to him, they are the most successful unions on earth.

In a post shared on his Instagram page, Reno opined that the divorce rate is lower when compared to marriages based on matchmade based on love.

He wrote: "There is nothing wrong if your parents, siblings, or other relatives want to fix you up with an arranged marriage. Arranged marriages are the most successful unions on Earth.

"Fact-check me: The divorce rate of so-called love matches is between 40-50%, whereas the divorce rate for arranged marriages is 4%. And it is very Scriptural.

"The marriage of Isaac and Rebecca was an arranged marriage by Abraham. Laban arranged Jacob's marriage to Leah. Pharaoh set up Joseph's wedding to Asenath."
