American rapper Robert Rihmeek Williams , popularly known as Meek Mill has voiced his support for Nigeria's First Lady Remi Tinubu's call for modest dressing standards.

During a recent event, First Lady Tinubu urged Nigerians to embrace attire that reflects the nation's cultural values, stating that nudity is not synonymous with African culture.

At the celebration marking President Bola Tinubu's first year in office, she addressed the issue, saying, "We must guide our youth. Our nation is known for its elegance and style. The current trend of scanty dressing is not a reflection of our cultural identity. Unlike the MET Gala, where extravagance is the norm, our society values modesty. It's time we remind our young people of our cultural ethos. We have beautiful citizens who should feel empowered by their identity, not swayed by foreign influences."

Meek Mill, responding to her remarks, concurred with the sentiment on social media, particularly highlighting the perspective of African-American men.

"Black men in America hate it … it’s actually a turn off!!" he commented.

His post attracted several comments on his X page.

@honest30bgfan_: As a black American woman myself I can bodly say we do too much. And need to take advice from the Nigerians. The way we dress spoil and make our culture look bad

@Andrew55614579:The thing is everyone has a different opinion to how we as Africans should dress.

@Ollyskay: It's really bad...naked people everywhere. Bad values and bad culture.

@WisdomjosephA: Culture? Men created culture. Before civilization Africans we all move around naked, some part of Africa do today, even in 21 century some part of south Africa culture move topless
