Actress Toni Tone has spoken against those who criticize women who demand that a man must have considerable wage before they can engage in a relationship.
In a series of tweets, the actress wondered why men are not given the same treatment when they make same demand about women.
Toni Tone wrote:
"Whenever a woman suggests she wants a partner who works hard or earns a decent wage (in her view), why is it that some men on Twitter are quick to assume she doesn’t make money of her own?! Maybe she wants a hard working man who makes money because she does.
"If a guy was to say he wants a woman with ambition who earns money and works hard, would other men be so quick to tell him “stop being a bum, and make your own money”? No. Because when a man says it they assume he’s a boss who wants a boss. When a woman says it she’s a goldigger.
"I know a lot of women who are doing VERY well for themselves, and they’re looking for a man who can match what they’re bringing to the table. They want to date their equal. Why is that a bad thing? They live comfortably on their coin and want someone who does the same".
