Nigerian celebrities won numerous awards across several categories at the grand finale of the 10th Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards (AMVCA), which took place on Saturday, May 11, 2024.

A lively Cultural Day celebration marked the beginning of the much-anticipated ceremony on Friday.

However, the main event, which started on Saturday afternoon, had a spectacular grand entrance, with celebrities glamming up the red carpet with their impeccable style choices.

The issue of the best and worst dressed for the event has generated a lot of controversy.

Social media users crowned Toke Makinwa, Osas Ighodaro, Uche Montana, Nana Akua Addo, Liquorose and others as best-dressed celebrities, while two people sparked conversations as they were tagged as having the worst fashion sense.

Nollywood actress Destiny Etiko and Big Brother Naija reality personality Laycon were the worst-dressed male and female for the event.

Laycon was dressed as if he was attending a costume party, thus he was not present for the occasion. The cane and top hat were unnecessary.

Destiny Etiko was the second worst-dressed person. As the actress displayed her AMVCA appearance, her admirers were left feeling let down.

The actress, who wore a translucent red bodycon dress that flaunted her body parts, was one of the celebrities with the worst fashion sense.

Fans attacked her in her comment section because they were unimpressed with her dress and didn't find anything impressive about it.

Many made fun of her outfit, saying that her stylist ought to be fired and that her sense of style was tacky.
