Edo lawmaker Natasha Osawaru, rumored to be the new partner of singer Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has sparked conversations with her introduction during a plenary session at the state House of Assembly.

A short video clip circulating online captured the moment Natasha addressed her fellow lawmakers. What caught everyone's attention was her decision to include 2Baba's surname in her introduction.

“My name is Hon. Natasha Irobosa Osawaru nee Idibia,” she announced, drawing cheers and applause from her colleagues.

Reports from Legit.ng indicate that Natasha had also updated her Instagram bio to reflect 2Baba's surname, further fueling speculation about their relationship and potential marriage. This development comes after 2Baba's estranged wife, actress Annie Idibia—now going by Annie Macaulay—dropped his surname.

Natasha's appearance at the Edo State House of Assembly follows her removal as the minority leader. She, along with Charity Aiguobarueghian, the former majority leader, lost their leadership roles in the house.

Several netizens criticised Natasha for not knowing the reason why "Nee" was included in only maiden names. Others chose to mock the lawmaker.
