The Minister fo Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama has said that effort will be made to identify and punish those who destroyed the Nigerian embassy in Indonesia.
A viral video had shown some protesters at the embassy with placards and demanding for an end to the killing of Nigerians in Indonesia.
The protesters shattered the glass windows at the embassy and pulled down the Nigerian flag which they attempted to burn.
In reaction, Onyeama described their behaviour as "totally unacceptable".
He tweeted: "Absolutely deplorable and disgraceful criminal behaviour by Nigerian hooligans who without justification attacked the Nigerian Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia.
"Every effort will be made to identify them and see they are severely punished. Totally unacceptable behaviour".
