Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama has promised to bring Nigerians stranded in Canada home.
Speaking at a press briefing at the Presidential Taskforce yesterday, Onyeama said the Canadian Government denied landing rights to the Nigerian carrier on grounds that it did not have a licence to undertake commercial flights to Canada.
However, he revealed that the Nigerian High Commissioner in Canada is currently engaging with the Canadian Government on this issue.
Onyeama promised Nigerians would be evacuated from the country soon.
It is true the Canadian Government denied landing rights to a Nigerian carrier scheduled for evacuation duty, on grounds that the Nigerian carrier does not have a licence to undertake commercial flights to Canada.
