Nigerian students schooling at the University of Arkansas have recreated the National Youth Service Corp scheme tradition in the United States.

The program which was tagged "Nigerian Immersion 2020" was created by Nnamdi Ezike to get Nigerians in the diaspora, as well as students from other races, experience major attributes of Nigeria's cultures and history.

The video thread publicised by Ezike showed Nigerians in diaspora performing camp drills, mammy market activities, parades, and Man O war drills.

The tweet caught the attention of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission who commended Ezike for putting the program together.

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) is a scheme set up by the Nigerian government to involve Nigerian graduates in nation-building and the development of the country.

Graduates of universities and later polytechnics have been required to take part in the National Youth Service Corps program for one year, known as national service year.
