A female pastor, Mercy Ogbonaya, has been remanded in a Port Harcourt Correctional centre for obtaining the sum of 23 million under false pretence.
According to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Mercy violated Section 1 (1) (a) of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Related Offences Act and punishable under Section 1(3) of the same Act.

She was arraigned by the antigraft commission on a one-count charge.
Justice I. M. Sani of the Federal High Court in Port Harcourt, Rivers State presided over the case where he ruled that the accused be remanded in a correctional centre for her crime.
