A filling station has been sealed for increasing the price of fuel less than 24 hours President Bola Tinubu announced the removal of fuel subsidy.
On Monday, May 29, during the inaugural speech of President Tinubu, he mentioned that his administration will be removing the fuel subsidy.
Despite the fuel subsidy yet to be implemented, some fuel station took it upon themselves to halt the sale of fuel, while others increased the cost of the fuel.
Long queues began to emerge as a result, thereby causing fear and panic in the country.
However, a video has surfaced of a taskforce sealing off a fuel station for increasing the price of fuel.
The price of fuel which was sold at N230 per litre was now being sold for N600 per litre.
Reacting to the video, some Nigerians took to social media to share their thoughts.
I hope they catch all the other stations trying to make a quick buck at the expense of hardworking innocent Nigerians.

The Fuel subsidy removal hasn’t be effected, Tinubu just made the announcement that it’ll be removed but filling stations have stopped selling fuel, others are hoarding and selling 600, later they’ll say our leaders are the problem of Nigeria.

Sealing will only bring hardship. The businesses need to recapitalize in order to restock hence the need to sell high. Removal of subsidy is supposed to allow market forces determine the prices. If NNPC has product, they should sell and ppl will boycott others. He told us oh!. pic.twitter.com/7RZo5OCGEh

I’m hearing some filling stations are still selling at N700. And our dear Nigerians are buying it. ????Babooo in the Zoo niwa se. If we cannot be useful for nothing, at least be useless for something. If we cannot boycott mere fill stations, then how can we ever desire a future smh
