A Nigerian man has managed to save one million naira after he stopped spending on data and other personal purchases for 11 months.

According to Linda Ikeji, the man who is yet to be identified began saving on January 3, 2022 and wrote a loving note to his wife about his financial plans.

He added that he hopes they break the piggy bank together but needed to leave some words for her in case he isn't present when it is broken.

They broke the piggy bank this month and counted N1,060,850.

The wife shared her husband's letter and the money he saved to show her appreciation for him.
