Eko Electricity Distribution Company has assured residents living in Lekki and Orile area of Lagos of swift restoration of power.

It made this reassurance in a short statement on Twitter.

The Electricity distribution company blamed the power outage in Esa Giwa, Austin Nwanu, Bola Close, P Square & environs on a fault in their transformer. It promised to work on it speedily.

For residents in Lekki & its environs, the reason for the power outage was attributed to last night's heavy downpour which affected its facilities.

Nonetheless, it promised residents of the affected area that it would fix the problems in earnest.
