The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has streamlined its visa requirements to improve tourism, allowing people from 87 countries to enter the UAE with a valid visa.
Reports show that the only African countries covered in this update are Mauritius and Seychelles.
The visa-on-arrival privileges are not open to other African countries like Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya.
What the new policy does
Citizens of countries benefiting from this new policy would not have to go through the lengthy process of getting prearranged visas.
When travelling with a visa on arrival, travellers can stay for 30 days plus an additional ten days.
The UAE's goal to maintain its status as a major international tourism destination is demonstrated by this reform.
