The Private sector-led Coalition Against COVID-19 has commenced the donation of food to Nigerians as promised.
Recall that last month, the CA-COVID fund led by Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele, promised to cater for 10 million hungry Nigerians.
In a video obtained by MyNigeria.com, the Private sector fund commenced its food donations with a loaf of bread.
5,000 loaves of bread were distributed at three centres namely: "Tinubu Square, Oniru and Muri Okunola Park."
Enlisting the services of Dejabys Bakers and Confectioners, the private sector provided butter-rich bread to thousands of Nigerians.
Several people were glad to receive the food items.
The bread outreach is expected to last two weeks. More food palliatives will be doled out to people.
According to Dangote who is a member of the initiative, 1.67 million households would be fully provided for while N23bn worth of food items will be distributed in conjunction with the Government of each state.
