Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika has extended the closure of the airports for another two weeks.
This is following the extra-14 day lockdown imposed on Lagos, Abuja and Ogun by the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), a week ago.
Sirika revealed that the current situation of things is the reason for the extra two-week closure.
Noting that the extension is subject to review, he asked Nigerians to bear with the Government.
COVID-19. As a result of the extension on lockdown by Mr President it is no longer possible for us to open our airspace and airports for normal operations by the 23rd April, 2020. They will remain closed for a further 2 weeks. This subject to review as appropriate, please.????????????????????????
