Ahead of Nigeria's matchday six FIFA World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe, head coach Eric Chelle has emphasized his determination to win every game.

The 47-year-old began his tenure as Super Eagles head coach on a high note, with a commanding 2-0 victory against Rwanda in Kigali.

The win was Nigeria's first in five matches in the qualifiers, moving the three-time African champions up one spot in Group C.

Chelle and his team will aim to build on that momentum when they host the Warriors of Zimbabwe at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo later today (Tuesday, March 25).

Speaking ahead of the encounter, the Malian tactician stated that he had communicated to his players his ambition to win every match.

“I spoke to my players and told them I want to win every game. So, my focus is on the next game, which is against Zimbabwe. After that, we can think about the following match,” Chelle said at press conference ahead of the game.

“For now, I just want to talk about the Zimbabwe game, which is the most important one for my team.”

The game will kick off at 5:00pm Nigerian time.
