Victor Boniface's time with Bayer Leverkusen appears to be nearing its conclusion, as the Bundesliga side is reportedly planning to offload the Nigerian international at the end of the current campaign.

Despite enjoying a stellar debut season with the Bundesliga champions, Boniface seems to no longer feature in Xabi Alonso's plans for the upcoming season.

The 24-year-old played a pivotal role in Leverkusen's historic campaign last season, helping the club secure their first-ever Bundesliga title and clinch the DFB-Pokal. The Super Eagles striker finished the season as the club's top scorer across all competitions.

Boniface was close to joining Al Nassr in January, but the transfer fell through after the Saudi Pro League side opted to sign Jhon Duran from Aston Villa instead.

According to Sport Bild, Leverkusen is now considering a fee of around €50 million for the former Royal Union SG striker, who has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs.
