Sevilla manager Garcia Pimienta has praised Nigerian international Chidera Ejuke following his side's victory against Real Sociedad in the Spanish La Liga.

Ejuke scored the only goal as the Rojiblancos secured a hard-fought 1-0 win over Sociedad on Sunday, March 9.

The former Royal Antwerp forward netted the decisive goal in the 47th minute, courtesy of an assist from Saul.

This was the Super Eagles star's second goal of the season.

“When he (Ejuke) got injured, he was in great form. He was practically out for three months, with all that it entails to get back into shape,” Pimienta said in an interview on the club’s official website.

“The opportunity came for Ejuke, and he performed very well.

“He also contributed significantly on the defensive side for the team. We are very happy for him,” Pimienta added.
