Performance of Super Eagles players in Europe: Osimhen, Sadiq score braces; Chukwueze, Bassey on target

Last weekend saw some exceptional performances from Super Eagles stars across Europe, with several of them finding the back of the net.

Victor Osimhen, Umar Sadiq, Calvin Bassey, and Samuel Chukwueze were all on target for their clubs.

Victor Osimhen

Osimhen netted a brace for Galatasaray in their thrilling 3-3 draw against Kasimpasa in the Turkish Super Lig at the Recep Tayyip Erdogan Stadium in Istanbul on Sunday, March 2.

It was the 26-year-old's 15th and 16th Super Lig goals of the campaign after 20 league appearances for the reigning champions.

The Super Eagles striker has now netted 22 goals across all competitions for Galatasaray since joining the club on a season-long loan from Napoli.

Samuel Chukwueze

Chukwueze scored his third goal in Serie A this season after netting the only consolation in AC Milan's disappointing home defeat to Lazio on Sunday, March 2.

Mattia Zaccagni gave Lazio the lead in the 28th minute before Chukwueze equalized with seven minutes left to play.

Pedro Rodriguez scored the winner deep into stoppage time from the spot to give Lazio the maximum three points.

It was Samuel Chukwueze's 5th goal of the season in 29 appearances across all competitions.

Umar Sadiq

Umar Sadiq starred as Valencia held Osasuna to a thrilling 3-3 draw at the Estadio El Sadar in Pamplona, Spanish La Liga.

The Super Eagles star netted a brace to help Los Che secure a crucial point away from home.

Sadiq has now netted three goals in six La Liga appearances for the club since joining Valencia on a loan deal in January.

Calvin Bassey

Bassey was instrumental in Fulham's FA Cup victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday, March 2.

The 25-year-old scored the opener on the stroke of halftime to give the Cottagers a 1-0 lead before the break.

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes equalized in the 71st minute to force the game into extra time and eventually the penalty shootouts.

Fulham won 4-3 in the shootouts to progress to the quarterfinals after Victor Lindelof and Joshua Zirkzee missed from the spot.
