Nigerian international Alex Iwobi has stated that Fulham are pushing to qualify for Europe next season.

The Cottagers are currently sitting 8th in the Premier League with 39 points after 25 matches.

Fulham have won three out of their last four Premier League matches, with their latest victory coming against Nottingham Forest last weekend.

Marco Silva's side is currently four points adrift of Chelsea in sixth position.

A sixth-place finish will guarantee Fulham a place in the Europa League.

Iwobi says the Cottagers are taking it game by game as they set their sight on European qualification.

“To do the double over big teams will definitely give us an advantage, but we always take it game by game,” Iwobi told The Mirror.

“It doesn’t matter if the other team is challenging for the European spots or in the relegation zone, we’ll treat everyone with the same respect. We just have to keep on pushing; we see the quality in training every day.

“We’re all very ambitious, and we take things step by step. It’s [European qualification] definitely in the back of our minds, though.”
