The Super Eagles of Nigeria will face Russia in an international friendly slated for June.

As per information available on the Russian Football Union's official website, the high-profile friendly will take place on Friday, June 6.

However, the venue for the encounter is yet to be communicated by the organizers.

Russia will later take on their European counterparts, Belarus, in another friendly four days after their clash with Nigeria.

The highly anticipated encounter will be the first-ever meeting between the two countries at the senior level.

Meanwhile, prior to that, the Super Eagles will face the Amavubi of Rwanda and the Warriors of Zimbabwe in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in March.
