French Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco has expressed interest in signing Nigerian international Wilfred Ndidi from Leicester City.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Monaco wants to sign the Super Eagles midfielder on loan with the option to make the deal permanent.

“AS Monaco consider Wilfried Ndidi one of the main options on their list for the final days, but loan move with buy option clause is not easy at all,” Romano wrote on X

“Ndidi has a buyout clause but Leicester are not opening doors to loan yet, at this stage.”

The 27-year-old penned a new three-year deal with the Foxes last summer.

Ndidi has provided four assists in 15 Premier League games for the King Power Stadium outfit.
