Sevilla boss Garcia Pimienta has opened the door for Nigerian international Kelechi Iheanacho to explore transfer options this month.

Iheanacho has had a tough time securing regular playing minutes since arriving at the La Liga club on a free transfer from Leicester City last summer.

The 28-year-old has still not opened his goal account in La Liga after nine appearances.

However, Kelechi has scored thrice in the Copa del Rey.

The former Manchester City man has been linked with moves to Watford, Ipswich Town, and Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League.

Despite not offering the Super Eagles striker enough playing minutes, Pimienta believes Iheanacho has the quality to excel at another club.

“I don’t know the reason, but there are players who fit in better in one environment than in another,” Pimienta was quoted by eldesmarque.com.

“For whatever reason, he hasn’t performed at the level we expected, but I’m sure that he might do so elsewhere because I see him training and I see the quality he has.”
