Nigerian international Alex Iwobi achieved a new feat during Fulham's clash with West Ham United in the Premier League on Tuesday, January 14.

Fulham lost 3-2 to West Ham United in the London derby, marking Alex Iwobi's 274th appearance in the English topflight.

The 28-year-old has now become the second Nigerian international with the most appearances in the English topflight.

Iwobi surpassed the number of appearances by former Arsenal forward Nwankwo Kanu.

Former Newcastle United star Shola Ameobi leads the chart with 293 appearances.

Iwobi made 100 appearances at Arsenal following his promotion from the Gunners academy before joining Everton, where he made 123 appearances for the Toffees.

He has so far managed 51 appearances since joining Fulham in the summer of 2023.
