French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly made contact with Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface through the player's representatives.

According to reports, PSG's sporting advisor Luis Campos began talks with Boniface's camp last month as they look to bolster their attacking options.

Boniface has been in remarkable form since joining Leverkusen from Royal Union SG in the summer of 2023, helping the club win the Bundesliga and the DFB Pokal in his first season.

The 24-year-old also guided Xabi Alonso's side to the German Super Cup at the beginning of the current 2024/25 campaign.

Boniface is currently recuperating from a thigh injury he sustained in November while on national duty with the Super Eagles and has missed the club's last nine matches.

Prior to his injury, Boniface had managed eight goals and one assist in 15 appearances for the current Bundesliga title holders.

Amid interest from other suitors, Bayer Leverkusen is exploring the possibility of extending his current deal to 2029 and making him one of the highest-paid players in the club.
