Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has urged Arsenal to sign Nigerian international Victor Osimhen in January.
Mikel Arteta's side has been without a natural number nine since last season, with Kai Havertz often deployed in the false nine role. Brazilian international Gabriel Jesus has suffered a significant dip in form due to fitness concerns.
The Gunners have failed to score from open play in their last four Premier League matches, with all their goals coming from set pieces.
Ferdinand believes that the North London club needs to secure Victor Osimhen's signature if they want a striker who can impact games.
“Now, you ain’t having a number nine that’s coming on impacting games,” Ferdinand told Football Transfers.
“But I don’t even think you’ve got to buy an Osimhen, although I would buy Osimhen. You’ve got to buy someone who can come in and impact games.”
