German tactician Bruno Labbadia has missed out on another managerial job after walking away from the Super Eagles job.

The 58-year-old was announced by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) as the new head coach of the Super Eagles in August following Finidi George's resignation two months earlier.

However, the former VfB Stuttgart manager declined the offer, citing logistical and managerial challenges.

Labbadia's decision led to the appointment of NFF technical director Augustine Eguavoen as head coach of the three-time African champions on an interim basis.

Bruno Labbadia was recently linked to the managerial role at Bundesliga 2 side Hamburg following the dismissal of Steffen Baumgart.

However, according to Kicker, the club has rescinded the decision to hire Labbadia after interim coach Merlin Polzin's impressive 3-1 win over Karlsruhe.

The club is reportedly considering appointing Polzin permanently if he gets good results against Darmstadt in their next game.
