Fenerbahçe head coach José Mourinho has extolled Nigerian international David Okereke for his remarkable record against teams he has managed.

The former Cremonese striker scored the only consolation goal in Gaziantep's 3-1 loss to Fenerbahçe in the Super Lig on Monday, December 2.

Turkish international Oğuz Aydın gave Mourinho's side an early lead in the 3rd minute before Okereke equalized for the home side in the 41st minute.

Rodrigo Becão restored Fenerbahçe's lead in the 78th minute, and Edin Džeko added another to seal a convincing 3-1 victory in the 89th minute for the Yellow Canaries.

Speaking after the game, Mourinho congratulated Okereke for being the first player to score against three clubs he has managed.

“I congratulate David Okereke. He is the first player to score against all three teams that I managed.

“He scored against my teams while playing for Venezia, Cremonese, and Gaziantep,” Mourinho was quoted by Trtspor.
