Having spent the past summer chasing after Victor Osimhen's signature, Chelsea have shifted their attention to another Nigerian attacker who plies his trade in the Spanish La Liga.

As per the latest reports, the Blues have expressed keen interest in Getafe' Christantus Uche.

Uche, 21, joined Getafe from Spanish lower division side Ceuta this season and has been in fine form for Los Azulones.

He scored on his La Liga debut against Athletic Bilbao to secure a crucial point for his side.

Spanish outlet Relevo reports that Chelsea have inquired about the availability of the Owerri-born player who is one of the most fouled players in La Liga this season.

Uche has scored 1 goal in 10 La Liga appearances for Getafe this season.

It remains to be seen if Chelsea will return to the negotiation table for Victor Osimhen after their initial attempt collapsed on transfer deadline day or will pursue the signing of Uche.
