Premier League giants Manchester United are reportedly considering former Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel as a potential replacement for manager Erik ten Hag, according to widespread reports.

The Dutch tactician has come under intense pressure after losing 3-0 at home to Tottenham Hotspur and recording a draw in games against FC Porto in the Europa League and Aston Villa in the Premier League.

United are currently sitting in 14th position in the Premier League table after managing just eight points from seven games - the club’s worst-ever start to a Premier League campaign.

Manchester Evening News reports that the club hierarchy will hold a crunch meeting on Thursday, October 10, with Erik Ten Hag’s future on the agenda.

The club will be considering potential replacements for the Dutchman, who joined the Old Trafford outfit from Ajax.

According to reports, former PSG and Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel remains the clear favourite for the role even though other reports have suggested former Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy to take over the reins of the club.
