Former Nigerian forward Brown Ideye has urged Victor Osimhen to accept a pay cut to complete his dream move to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea have expressed their interests in signing of the 25-year-old from Napoli this summer, but their efforts have been stalled by financial demands.

The Blues wants to sign the Super Eagles star on a loan deal with a reduced salary, whereas Osimhen wants a deal with an obligation to buy the following season.

Ideye believes that Osimhen's agent Roberto Calenda could be the reason behind the prolonged negotiations between Chelsea and Osimhen's camp.

“I don’t know why Victor Osimhen’s agent won’t let him to take a pay cut and play for his dream club Chelsea. I think is more than we read online,” Ideye wrote on X.

However, reports indicate that Chelsea are considering launching a late bid for the former Lille attacker amid interest from Saudi Arabia.
