Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has named Christopher Nkunku as the club's designated penalty taker.
The France international scored from the spot as the Blues thrashed Club America 3-0 in a preseason friendly in the United States.
Former Barcelona youngster Marc Guiu doubled the Blues lead before Nkunku won a second penalty which was successfully converted by Noni Madueke.
Speaking on the penalty responsibilities, the former Leicester City boss stated that he makes the decision on who takes the penalties.
“I have decided, and this is the reason for the first one Christopher took the penalty and Noni was close to taking it, but I told Tosin to tell Noni that Christo has to take the penalty.
“I am the guy who decides who shoots the penalty and not the players,” Maresca said.
Cole Palmer was selected by former Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino as the club's first choice penalty taker. It is unclear if that will change under the new gaffer as the former Manchester City star is yet to join the team after the European Championship.
