Arsenal midfielder, Declan Rice has revealed the conversation he had with club’s co-chairman, Josh Kroenke after the Gunners missed on winning the Premier League title to Manchester City.

Despite defeating Everton on Sunday, May 19, the Londoners were disappointed to hear Manchester City had beat West Ham at home to clinch the title.

Arsenal needed City to drop two points in the last game to claim the top spot but Pep and his lads prevailed.

Speaking to NBC Sports, Rice said, “I was just speaking to Josh Kroenke on the pitch. I told him, ‘It’s been everything I expected.’ The class and professionalism of the club are phenomenal, from top to bottom.

“The way everything is run, the staff, the management – it’s an amazing place.”

Despite the season ending in disappointment for the second consecutive year, Rice, who joined Arsenal from West Ham for £105 million last summer, remains optimistic about his first year with the club.
