Real Madrid sensation Eduardo Camavinga has weighed in on the perpetual debate surrounding the 'Greatest of All Time' (GOAT) player, and surprisingly, it's neither Cristiano Ronaldo nor Lionel Messi who has earned his nod.

Despite the enduring dominance of Ronaldo and Messi in football conversations, Camavinga, in a recently surfaced video, diverged from the well-worn path of choosing between the two stalwarts.

While the Barcelona legend seemingly settled the GOAT discourse by clinching the 2022 FIFA World Cup with Argentina, Camavinga opted to break away from the Ronaldo-Messi narrative entirely.

In a video clip, he deliberated between two players in various rounds before ultimately selecting his choice.

In the decisive round, the Frenchman found himself choosing between Ronaldo and his former teammate Karim Benzema.

In a surprising turn, Camavinga crowned Benzema, his compatriot, as his personal GOAT.

The duo, despite sharing the field for just two seasons at Real Madrid, achieved significant success, clinching La Liga, Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and Club World Cup in their first season. Subsequently, they secured Copa Del Rey and Spanish Supercup triumphs in the following year.

The pair has won multiple titles and individual honours across their illustrious careers, including an incredible 13 Ballon d'Or awards between them, per Sportskeeda.

Despite their respective achievements, opinion is always divided on who between the duo is the better player.

It's worth noting that in June 2023, Benzema bid farewell to Real Madrid, opting to join Saudi side Al-Ittihad, marking the end of their successful partnership on the field.
