Lamine Yamal has revealed his mother's genuine emotions whenever he features for Barcelona, following his exceptional performance for the Catalan giants on Sunday afternoon.
Yamal delivered a standout performance, earning him the Man of the Match title as the La Liga champions rallied from a 3-2 deficit to secure an exhilarating 4-3 victory against Villarreal at the Estadio de la Ceramica.
Although he did not find the back of the net, the 16-year-old provided an assist, marking yet another milestone in his budding career, per GOAL.
In only his second start for the club, Yamal hit the woodwork twice and set up Gavi for the opening goal in a display that shone brightly amidst the chaotic battle on the field.
He even received a standing ovation from the opposing fans, who recognised the brilliance of the La Masia graduate.
After the match, the young Spaniard was asked about his mother, Sheila Ebana's sentiments as his career continues its upward trajectory.
"My mother is afraid for me when I start, but she supports me a lot," he admitted, as quoted by Barca Universal.
