Ten talented young players have been shortlisted for the 2023 Golden Boy Award.
The final nominees were unveiled by the Italian publication Tuttosport on Tuesday, June 20.
The Golden Ball is awarded to the best U-21 player in the top-tier European leagues.
Barcelona's Gavi was the last player to win the award in 2022 following his remarkable performance with the Catalan giants.
The 18-year-old will be hoping to defend his crown this year as he has been named in the final shortlist alongside teammate Alejandro Balde.
Real Madrid's Jude Bellingham, Bayern Munich's Jamal Musiala, PSV's Xavi Simons, and Alejandro Garnacho of Manchester United all made the final list of nominees.
The other contestants are Benjamin Sesko(Red Bull Salzburg), Florian Wirtz(Bayern Leverkusen), and Rico Lewis (Manchester City).
