English referee Anthony Taylor, who officiated the Europa League final between Roma and Sevilla was harassed by some irate Roma fans at the Budapest Airport on his return to the UK.
A video making rounds on social media shows fans hurling insults at the Premier League referee while others throw chairs at him.
This comes against the backdrop of a clear-cut penalty decision that was not awarded by the referee during the Europa League final on Wednesday night.
Serial winners Sevilla went ahead to win the title for a record seventh time after beating Jose Mourinho's side 4-1 in the shootouts.
Mourinho had earlier confronted Anthony Taylor and his team which included Michael Oliver at the car park of the Puskas Arena after the game.
“It is a f***ing disgrace, man. It is a f***ing disgrace, man,” the disappointed Portuguese manager said.
