Flying Eagles of Nigeria Group D opponent at the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup, Dominican Republic, lost 4-0 to Argentina in a friendly game on Thursday.
The friendly is part of preparations for both teams ahead of the tournament.
Goals from Valentin Carboni, Maestro Puch and a brace from Juan Gauto handed Javier Mascherano’s side the comfortable win.
Dominican Republic will take on Ecuador in another friendly which will hold on Sunday, May 14.
The Flying Eagles will kickoff their Group D campaign against Dominican Republic on Sunday, May 5.
Also, they will take on Brazil and Italy in the group stage.
Dominican Republic will be making their debut at the U-20 World Cup in this year’s edition.
Meanwhile, the Flying Eagles arrived Argentina on Sunday for the World Cup tournament.
